E-LASS#14: Glance into the future of innovative maritime applications

June 17, 2021· Event

The next E-LASS (European Network for Lightweight Applications at Sea) event will take place on 17 June 2021. The digital event is organized in collaboration with members around the Baltic Sea, including Meyer Turku. In the morning, partners from the RAMSSES project will present some highlights on practical lightweight applications realized during the project timeline.

The presentations in the afternoon will be dedicated to the regulatory theme, including the proposed concept from RAMSSSES of concept of the “Smart Track to Approval” (STtA). Developed in cooperation with shipyards, engineering companies and classification societies, the STtA will enhance the capabilities to implement material innovations. The presentations will reflect on approaches and outcomes of the developing process and give an idea of how to use the STtA after the end of the project to facilitate the approval process of innovative maritime applications in the future.
