With sadness the RAMSSES consortium has acknowledged the demise of Tord Gustafsson

August 26, 2019 · News

It is with sadness that the RAMSSES consortium has acknowledged that our project partner and friend, Tord Gustafsson, passed away.

Until very recently, Tord used to represent PODCOMP AS from Öjebyn, Sweden, as R&D manager. In this position, he worked with us in the RAMSSES project on developing and demonstrating innovative lightweight structures for the shipbuilding industry. He was renowned for his knowledgeability and dedication, but even more than that he was famous for his capability to inspire people. With Tord, even the hard work on lightweight structures became light and delighting.
We also will not forget his speeches given during the social events, always with a sense of humour. Looking back, it seems like a foreshadow that he closed his last speeches during our General Assembly at AIMEN in Vigo, Spain, with 'AMEN'.
