In the framework of the JEC World 2018, the Leading International Composite Show, which took place in Paris from 6th to 8th of March, we took the opportunity to meet up with some of the other project partners. The well-attended trade fair with its 1.300 exhibitors and about 40.000 visitors serves as well-established platform for some of the RAMSSES partners specialized in the production and application of composites and other lightweight materials.

One of the highlights during the world-leading exhibition there is the Ceremony for the JEC Innovation Awards. This year, two of our partners, Meyer Werft and Uljanik Shipyards were nominated as finalists in the category Marine.

Bojan Blagonić and Vito Radolovic, both Uljanik

To our great pleasure, Uljanik received the award, represented that afternoon by Vito Radolovic, Senior Designer at Uljanik Shipyard. This achievement is a great success story showing the impact of many years of steady research and development in the field of lightweight and should also be regarded as a reward for preceding projects like BESST and De-Light. We furthermore hope that this success serves as incentive and motivation for future efforts in the RAMSSES project.

We herewith want to congratulate Uljanik for this great success.
